Memory Game
Primary Investigator: Dr. Zsuzsa Kaldy Age: 18-30 months old Duration: 5-10 minutes Compensation: $20, a certificate and a small gift In this study we are looking at why toddlers remember less than adults. Your baby will play a fun memory game on a computer where the goal of the game is to match the similar cards. An eye tracker is used to see which card they select. |
Treasure Map
Primary Investigator: Dr. Tashauna Blankenship Age: 3-4 years old Duration: 15-30 minutes Compensation: $20, a certificate and a small gift In this study we are interested in how children use memories to plan. If you decide to participate, your child will learn how to retrieve colored treasure map pieces from a “rainbow treasure box." They will then use their memories of how the box works to collect treasure pieces to finish treasure maps. If you're interested in participating please email us at [email protected] and one of our team members will schedule a time that works best for you and your child! |
Sticker Machine
Primary Investigator: Dr. Tashauna Blankenship Age: 5-7 years old Duration 15-30 minutes Compensation: $20, a certificate and a small gift In our study, children learn to make stickers come out of a sticker machine. Then, children will play a short math game or do some puzzles. Finally, they are given the chance to make a drawing of what they think will make the sticker machine work. In the meantime, parents will complete a 20-minute questionnaire about their child’s future-oriented thinking. If you're interested in participating please email us at [email protected] and one of our team members will schedule a time that works best for you and your child! |
Abstract Shapes and Sounds
Primary Investigator: Dr. Vivian Ciaramitaro Age Range: 6-11 years old Duration: 15-30 minutes Compensation: $20, a certificate and a small gift In this study we want to understand how children put information from our different senses together. Your child will touch some objects and make judgments about these objects based on a sound played through the laptop, while we record your child’s responses and hand movement (a camera will record your child’s hands, but not their face). |
